Clarabella Groad – Gravel Bike Adventure

Hosted by Heart of the Lakes in partnership with Ray's Bike Shop and Revolution Racing, invite you to come out and ride in our fun-raiser for land conservation! The Clarabella Groad gravel bike adventure will take you through northern Isabella County. Riders who are looking to compete or just get out and ride, can choose from two separate routes to tour through farmland and forest, rolling terrain, and sparkling lakes providing the backdrop for a true Michigan cycling experience.

Please note, our event will be capped at 300 participants.

Where is the race?

The start/finish and after-party/awards takes place at 6320 E Herrick Rd, Clare, MI 48617.

How do I register?

At https://www.bikereg.com/clarabella. Registration will open June 1st, 2018 and close October 3, 2018 at 5 PM est. Sorry no mail in registrations. No license required. Registration entry fee: Grass Lake Grit and Herrick Hustle races = $45 Brinton Brevet = $35 Stevenson Shakedown = Adult $40, Youth (under 16) $20.

Is there a rider cap?

Yes, 300 riders. Registration will close October 3, 2018 at 5 PM Est. or sooner if the cap is met.

Where can I find the route maps?

Both the long and short routes are on Strava. Once you’re inside Strava, you can download the Garmin and GPS files as well as print a turn-by-turn cue sheet. We’ll have print copies of the cue sheets available for everyone at packet pick-up too!

Where and when is packet pickup?

We will have a designated area setup for packet pick up between 8:45-9:45AM.

This weather is amazing, can I camp at the park?

You sure can! There area plenty of sites available and it’s a beautiful park. For reservations and information call the main office at 989-317-4083 or email parks@isabellacounty.org

How is the race timed and scored?

Chronotrack Timing by Newton Timing. Rigid handlebar number plates with timing chips will be used for the best timing available. Do not remove the timing chip off of the number plate!
